Nadia Cadora Michael, age 89, resident of Jacksonville, Florida, fell asleep in the Lord on January 27, 2018 with her family by her side. She was born on August 7,1928 in Jerusalem, Palestine. Nadia grew up in Ramallah, Palestine where she learned cross stitch from her mother. At the age of twenty-one, she moved to Jacksonville where she met her husband Aziz Michael. Nadia was not only talented in cross stitch, but she knitted, crocheted, painted and crafted many projects for the community and for her church. Using her expertise in cross-stitching she taught classes in the community. Nadia was a founding member of the Ramallah American Club and served as the Ladies' Auxiliary President. She participated in many outreach events sponsored by the club and was instrumental in creating the new Ramallah American Club that exists today. More than anything, Nadia loved her church, St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church. As a founding member of this church she sang in the choir and was President of the Ladies' Auxiliary. She also served on the Parish Council as Financial Secretary for many years and was a member of St. Ignatius. There was hardly a Sunday that you did not see Nadia in the choir singing, reading the Epistle or planning an event that involved her cooking skills. Everyone wanted to reap the benefits of Nadia's goodies.

Preceded in death by her husband, Aziz Musa Michael; parents, Yousef and Nameh Cadora; and sister, Wadad Anthony. Nadia is survived by her loving daughter, Beverly L. Michael; brothers, Farid Cadora, Faris Cadora; sisters-in-law, Helen Cadora and Nabiha Farah; and brother-in-law, Ferris Anthony. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Archpriest Father Kamal Al-Rahil, officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery,4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville.
