Mary Antionette Murillo Lammons, 87, died suddenly on October 9, 2016. She was born on January 20, 1929 and was a lifetime resident of Jacksonville, graduating from Immaculate Conception School in downtown Jacksonville. Mary worked in downtown Jacksonville at Kay's Jewelry but later made a career at Bank of America where she worked for 26 years before retiring. Mary was known for her beautifully sweet singing voice, being picked to sing at the opening of the original Gator Bowl. In her retirement years she pursued her love of gardening. Her yard, especially her roses, were her pride and joy. There was no plant that she could not nurture and turn into a beautiful bouquet.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Amato Murillo and Anthony Murillo; her husband, Charles "Sonny" Lammons; brothers, Sammy Murillo, Johnny Murillo, and Angelo Murillo; and sisters, Phyllis Murillo and Rose Murillo Hiorns. She is survived by her sister, Angie Murillo Hiorns, sister-in-law, Shirley Ann Lammons'; nephews, Gary Murillo, John Murillo, Thomas Hiorns III, and James Hiorns; and nieces, Pamela Hiorns Howell, Gayle Murillo Hope, Debbie Murillo Cole, and Mary Ella Hiorns Todorsky. She is also survived by many great grand-nephews and nieces and several great great grand-nephews and grand-nieces.

A celebration of Mary's life will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery and a reception will be held at the funeral home following interment.

She spent her last days here on Earth tending her beautiful flowers to bloom for her as she passed into her eternal home with the Lord. We firmly believe that she is being held in the palm of His hands as she reunites with her adored parents, sisters, brothers, friends, and especially with her Dear Sonny. So rest, Dear Aunt Mary, be at peace and one day we will all be together again.
