Lindsay Carol Turner, age 27, passed away at her home in Eleanor, West Virginia on March 30, 2015. Lindsay was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. She moved with her family to Jacksonville Florida in 1999 and was a 2006 graduate of Bartram Trail High School. She attended Ivy Tech Community College in Evansville, Indiana and Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.

Lindsay's life would seem too short to many, but to her family and friends who were touched by her, understand that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time...

Lindsay Carol Turner, age 27, passed away at her home in Eleanor, West Virginia on March 30, 2015. Lindsay was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. She moved with her family to Jacksonville Florida in 1999 and was a 2006 graduate of Bartram Trail High School. She attended Ivy Tech Community College in Evansville, Indiana and Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.

Lindsay's life would seem too short to many, but to her family and friends who were touched by her, understand that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. She touched many lives with her sweet smile, her kindness, and her generosity towards others.

Lindsay was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Melba Dawes Turner; Uncle, Ernest Turner; Cousins, Chris Turner and Larry Turner. Lindsay is survived by her parents, Laura and Gary Turner of Eleanor, West Virginia; her sister, Julie Turner of Huntington, West Virginia. She also leaves her maternal grandparents, Robert and Gloria Zack of Saint Johns, Florida. aunts and uncles, Mark (Rhonda) Zack of Hillsborough, North Carolina; Chris Zack of Lexington, Kentucky; Emerson (Peggy) Turner of Staley, North Carolina; Margaret Simpson of Nashville, North Carolina; Johnny (Debbie) Turner of Rocky Mount, North Carolina; cousins, Mike Turner; John Turner; Steven Turner and Ryan Simpson.

Because of her love of children, her family has requested donations in her name to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.


The funeral service will be held at Hardage Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207 on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
