Jeanne Trottier Love, 96, passed away peacefully in her home on November 23, 2016. Jeanne was born in 1920 in Trois-Rivieres, Canada. When her family moved to Vermont, she attended elementary school without knowing the English language. She was a quick learner and graduated in 1940 from Spaulding High School in Barre, Vermont. She worked for the mayor of Barre and Vermont Life Insurance before working in Washington DC. Jeanne and her husband moved to Florida in the late 1940's and made their permanent home in Jacksonville in 1950. They both worked for The Bolles School, where Jeanne was the secretary for the Headmaster. Jeanne always greeted everyone with a smile, was strong in her Catholic faith and was a devoted wife and mother. All her life she was enthusiastic about exercise and a healthy diet. Jeanne was an early pioneer of Jazzercise and even taught local classes well into her 70's. She had a passion for gardening and maintained a beautiful garden, and even continued to grow her own tomatoes in her 90's. Jeanne believed in leading her life by example and loved to motivate others through one of her quotes "you can have it easy now and tough the rest of your life, or have it tough now and much easier the rest of your life, the choice is yours".

Jeanne was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Robert W. " Captain" Love; and her son, James. Jeanne is survived by a daughter, Karen; son, Mike; and grandchildren, Robin, Mike Jr., Tyler, Ashley and Justin.

The family would also like to thank the caregivers who have been so kind and supportive and allowed Jeanne to remain in her own home of 66 years.
